a longstanding one. Fires in the Mind is Kathleen Cushman’s most recent offering
in a line of publications delving into the issue of how young people experience
their education. In a similar to manner to previous books, Cushman works closely
alongside young people in order to gain unique insights into this field, this time
focusing on what it takes to get really good at something. With the help of What
Kids Can Do, Inc., a national not-for-profit organisation founded for the purpose of
making public the voices and views of adolescents, she incorporates the views and
