ABSTRACT

The study examines the theoretical aspects of the online etiquette of teaching and educating students during the pandemic, develops and presents practical recommendations. The etiquette of teaching and educating young people is the rules of conduct, social norms of ethics, moral social dogmas and values that have both a national marker and a multicultural aspect. Online etiquette is a very relevant topic in the conditions of today’s turbulent challenges, because it determines certain rules, dynamics and specifics of behaviour on the Internet at various levels of educational interaction. During the COVID-19 pandemic, online etiquette represented a certain regulatory and value vector for the stabilization of all kinds of relationships, a kind of system for protecting the rights and freedoms of the individual, undergoing certain modifications in accordance with the new conditions of socio-cultural development. To implement successful communication during the pandemic, it is necessary to create safe conditions that would promote self-actualization and self-realization of students, their development, success, project-based learning, and productive cooperation. After all, communication etiquette is an important link of human existence, a condition of people’s life, a way of their unification, strength and power, safety in times of a pandemic. As you know, the mental health of all participants in the educational process has deteriorated sharply due to the forced implementation of distance education, therefore, compliance with the rules of online etiquette by students and teachers during the learning process contributes to the creation of a favourable moral and psychological climate, forms a positive, friendly mood, which has a good effect on well-being and work productivity. Instead, neglect of etiquette formulas can lead to conflicts, various types of discrimination, accusations, aggression, anxiety, and deterioration of the psychological state of all members of the educational community. The study concludes that it is extremely important for students to follow the rules of etiquette; it helps to work successfully in collaboration with other participants of the learning process, promotes a culture of communication and overcomes the negative effects of COVID-19.
