ABSTRACT
The relevance of the research topic is due to the need to identify common problems of higher music education and ways to solve them at the current time.
The purpose of this publication is to reveal the aspect of training professional personnel in the field of music art, as well as to determine the universal variant of orientation and nature of education in the higher music education institutes.
The following methods were used: systematization of the base of subject-thematic sources and the results of their development; theoretical analysis of materials; determination of categories of the studied object; comparative characteristics of its components; monitoring the state of modern educational system in the context of globalization and the needs of society in its modernization, as well as interaction with the leading sectors of its life.
As a result of the study, it has been established the factors testifying to the scale, integrity and versatility of the system of higher music education.
The practical significance of the article lies in the fact that its materials can serve as a foundation for further research in this area and replenish the theoretical base of disciplines related to the theory, history, methods of music performance (in particular, with such subjects as “Musicology”, “Music Theory”, “History of Music”, “Methods of Teaching Performing Disciplines”, “Concertmaster Class”, “Composition”). The data of this publication can be applied by representatives of the fields such as aesthetics and sociology; pedagogy and psychology; cultural studies and philosophy; medicine.
