One of the main steps in the life of every young person is to choose a profession. From the correct solution to the question: «Whom to become?»— largely depends on the formation of personality, awareness of its importance in society. Therefore, it is important to support decision-making by university entrants regarding their professional self-determination.
The purpose of the study is to develop a model of decision support system for career guidance of applicants on the principles of fuzzy logic and its implementation in the software module Fuzzy Logic Toolbox environment Matlab.
A model of the decision support system for choosing a speciality, educational institution by entrants based on the apparatus of fuzzy sets has been developed. Input and output linguistic variables, their universal set, term-set, functions of belonging of terms are constructed, the base of rules is formed for the system of support of decision-making on vocational guidance of youth. The Mamdani algorithm is chosen to perform the logical conclusion. The algorithm is implemented in the Fuzzy Logic Toolbox software module of the Matlab system.
Approbation of the automated decision support system took place among high school students of the Vinnytsia Technical Lyceum. The analysis of technical and economic characteristics of the system was carried out on the basis of a survey of students of 10-11 grades of the municipal institution «Vinnytsia Technical Lyceum».
