The article presents the peculiarities of the formation of individual ideas about family life as a factor in the formation of marital and family relationships in modern youth. The purpose of the research is to theoretically substantiate and empirically consider individual ideas about family life as a factor in the formation of marital relationships in modern Achieving the goal of the study and solving the tasks are attributed to the use of a whole array of research methods, namely: theoretical; empirical and mathematical. We’ve carried out the analysis of results of theoretical and empirical researches of the peculiarities of formation of the model of family relations in the modern partnership; the role of parental images as a factor in determining and developing marital relationships. Among the most vital findings are the influence of the parental family and the relationship between its members on the formation of individual ideas about married life, also it was confirmed that the positive orientation of young people to marriage and family is provided by a full parental family with a favourable psychological climate. The results obtained during the study and the conclusions drawn are of great practical value, as they can be used by psychologists to provide support and assistance to families with different views and individual perceptions of marital relationships, as well as in psychological counseling on establishing successful marital and family relationships and assisting spouses in identifying partner incompatibilities.
