Focus and Deadlines
As part of the Youth Voice Journal’s Special Issues, the Guest Editor, Dr. Eduard Balashov, would like to invite you to submit theoretical contributions to “EDUCATION AND UPBRINGING OF YOUTH IN NEW REALITIES: PERSPECTIVES AND CHALLENGES”. All submitted articles that meet the special issue guidelines will go through a double-blind peer-review process.
The Special Issue will be published in January 2022. The deadline for article submissions is 30 October 2021. Authors are encouraged to contact the Guest Editor with a proposed title and a draft abstract by no later than 31 August 2021.
About the Journal
The Youth Voice Journal (YVJ®) is a leading, international, multidisciplinary and double-blind peer-reviewed journal that specialises in theoretical and empirical research about issues affecting young people all over the world.

- Create knowledge and contribute to the literature by publishing high-quality research on issues affecting young people;
- Establish and develop youth-led methods in research and social policy-making;
- Provide a platform for the international exchange of ideas with the aim of influencing policies and practices;
- Actively encourage and aide those young people whose voices are rarely heard, and support them to publish their research.
The Special Issue
The aims of this special issue will cover the important issues and challenges of education (higher, special, secondary etc.) that have arisen during the pandemic times and will be reflected in post-pandemic period. The world of education has been constantly changing and we are aiming to cover also the topics connected with the perspectives for progressive youth education development in the nearest and distant future. The aims are supposed to be met via consideration of various viewpoints and prospectives of the authors from different countries for the issue of youth teaching and upbringing in the modern conditions in the world.
The Special issue will bring a new fresh scientific look at the issues of Youth Education and Youth Upbringing in the modern world. Nowadays, we consider a person to be the biggest value, therefore we expect this issue to support this humanistic approach to youth education and upbringing and emphasise the necessity of new approaches. Some important challenges will be discovered and the ways to overcome them will be distinguished in the scientific articles.

We aim to have every manuscripts peer-reviewed within a 4-6 week time frame before publication.
