The Special issue

There are an increasing number of researchers exploring different methodological frameworks across the UK, hoping to understand the impact of Youth Work on young people. This special issue aims to bring these explorations together and offer an insight into this field of research. This special issue challenges our existing models of ‘doing’ youth work and ‘assessing’ impact. Given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it is an important time to stop and explore our current ways of ‘doing’ research in the field and consider alternative approaches.
