Description

This ebook presents the community cohesion work of London’s children through the Culture and Art for Unity (CA4U) project. It was funded by Culture Seeds (Mayor of London).

“London is bursting with creative talent yet it can be extremely difficult for small grassroots organisations to access funding for local cultural projects. The Mayor and I have made it a priority to support London’s creative potential, and the new Culture Seeds grants will make a big difference to community projects across the capital. I’m really pleased that we are able to support Children and Art for Unity with their great work.”

Deputy Mayor for Culture and the Creative Industries, Justine Simons

“I am delighted to be speaking at the Culture and Art for Unity’s project, which has brought children from across Rotherhithe, Bermondsey and Surrey Docks to produce art that matters to them. The exhibition has been made possible by the hard work of local organisations Restorative justice 4 All and Bizzie Bodies, supported by the Mayor’s Culture Seeds programme, adding to the rich culture and history of our area”. Neil Coyle MP for Bermondsey and Old South

“It is with great pleasure that I write this introduction for the fi- nal publication of the Culture and Art for Unity (CA4U) project. RJ4All run the project from September 2018 until April 2019 giving to 22 children access to art workshops every Friday after school”
