Description

This article is based on youth-led research undertaken by a group of 20 young Londoners. The research sought to explore young Londoners sense of safety on buses after school hours, their attitudes towards telling adults about intimidating incidents and methods for encouraging children and young people to share such experiences more readily with responsible adults. Ensuring that young people are able to talk about experiences that have made them feel unsafe on their journeys home is crucial for identifying events that have the potential to become more serious and for promoting young people’s sense of safety.
